Perth City South was a completely different story.
Lib Dem Gain

SNP topped the poll and lost to Lib Dems on the 6th round of the single transferable vote.
A terrific win for the Unionists. It reinforces the fact that the SNP do so well because of FPTP at parliament and also the devolved assembly at Holyrood.
If we had the democratic transferable method across the board then they would be elected in such large numbers, never mind pretend they have mandates for referendums to split up the Nation.
The Scottish Parliament election system is proportional representation, and the de Hondt election model was chosen by the unionists specifically to disadvantage the SNP.
Hehehehe. 😀
Even if this is the case (and I have my doubts), It still doesn't change the fact that the SNP benefit greatly from a system which is largely FPTP both at Westminster and in the devolved assembly.
