This community is a success. Everyone plays the game and knows the score, which is to the credit of all.
But successful organisations must always be thinking and looking to the future, to grow, to develop, to stay relevant to modern times.
This thread can serve as our steering group to discuss and develop a business case for organisational change. Once key themes are agreed they can be voted upon.
To kick us off:
Should we stay here, in the Creataforum ecosystem?
Should we go to Proboards?
Should we find something better, cutting edge such as up to date vBulletin?
What steps can be taken to ensure nobody can ever come along and turn us off or shut us down? There will always be grasses after all.
And finally, is it ever going to be possible to unite the boards and bring peace to the realm?
Considered thoughts on all matters please.
So much business-speak! Next we'll be having team meetings over Zoom!
Here are my thoughts:
Should we stay here, in the Creataforum ecosystem? I'm quite happy with this, but not adverse to change. Ideally, we'd be on a board which had a few more options such as an online calendar we can update with fixtures and key dates.
Should we go to Proboards? As above.
Should we find something better, cutting edge such as up to date vBulletin? As above
What steps can be taken to ensure nobody can ever come along and turn us off or shut us down? There will always be grasses after all. After ErchieBairdsBar's recent complaint, grassing is indeed a concern. Making it a private forum could be an option, but only once we have more posters IMO.
And finally, is it ever going to be possible to unite the boards and bring peace to the realm? I think it could be. Maybe this year's newly crowned POTY could have it as a new years resolution to start negotiations with Faniel the Spaniel? Reading between the lines, he does seem rather power hungry but we'd have nothing to lose and it would be a laugh just to see his reaction? What other boards are there anyway?
Faniel likes his wee group of pillow fluffers. He doesn't like being called out for the junkie waste of space that he is.
