We have a deficit as part of the UK though.

If you regionalise it, only London and the South East show a surplus across the whole UK and that's because most tax revenues are booked there due to company HQs and banks being there.

We are lucky that WM covers our deficit. If we were not part of the UK with the surplus from London and the SE how would we cover it
