I don't think he actually covered up paedophilia, however the actual statement 'Big Jock Knew' is still the truth IMO.  It seems that a helluva lot of people at Celtic Park as well as him didn't inform the police, the reason being that they had no proof and in those days it wasn't taken seriously unless there was corroboration.  Whether we make a moral judgement on Big Jock regarding this or not is another matter.  I believe he kicked Torbett out the club but he managed to get back in, and you wonder how on earth this could have happened.  Was Stein around when he got back in?

I believe the phrase was coined as a reaction to a Celtic fan campaign to get him a posthumous knighthood.

He presented Torbett with trophies at CBC prize-giving events AFTER he allegedly booted him out.

I've NEVER granted anyone the Winner emoji on here, but that changes now.  That is truly game changing information and is now making me rethink everything I've ever thought about Jock Stein.
