We drive down to  Portsmouth with our dog in the car .

We get a Brittany ferries to Bilbao which we pay extra for a cabin that allows our dog to come in with us as we won't put him in a kennel on the ship .

We go to our town house and he's with us the whole time .
Coffee shops and pubs that are dog friendly.
