Adhering to the restrictions and social distancing

Is everybody still playing their part? Nobody breaking the rules by visiting elderly relatives for face to face visits when they shouldn't be?

Yes mate, still keeping going. We met a friend and her son at Dumfries House yesterday and the kids had a good play outside.

I go to the supermarket once a week. Even dropping son at school now I just boot him out of the car in the morning and stay in the car for him to pick him up at 3.

DaftMo does, he’s bored us all repeatedly by saying they are in their 80s, letters from the Queen etc 💤💤💤

I take it you've had a peek on the other board where this is a popular topic just now mr aj. Everyone's circumstances are different of course and all elderly relatives can't look after themselves.

According to the new regulations you’re able to spend time indoors with people who you don’t live with if you need to provide care and support to someone. This would be because they’re considered to be a vulnerable person who needs help with:

eating or drinking
toileting
washing and bathing
dressing
oral care
taking care of skin, hair and nails.

It's tough, but yeah, I'm making sure not to visit my mum at the moment.

Daily phone calls are doing the trick for the time being.

Correct Mr Rambo.

Also, if you live alone you can create a bubble with another household 😇

I happened to mention over the road that I'd been round looking after my elderly father and by coincidence the very next morning a thread like this appears on the ethical board. Glad everyone seems to be following the rules for the most part.

Glad to hear it, Pete. It's always the selfish few that ruin it for the rest.

Go and see my folks regularly but do not go in their house as it is against the rules. I get shopping for them and use disinfectant wipes on it then leave it in their garden.
I hate the rules but abide by them because they are obviously there for a reason. Anyone not is a selfish person that will make things worse for the rest of us.
