I've been to the following:

Lewis/Harris
Barra
Mull
Iona
Skye
Raasay
Arran
Holy Isle
Eriskay
Benbecula
North Uist
South Uist
Vatersay
Great Cumbrae
Mainland Shetland
Bute
Mainland GB

My favourite, out of them all, has to be mainland GB.  What an amazing history we have.  Don't get me wrong, wee outliers like Skye are great and have their place.. Flora MacDonald etc (no sniggering at the back).. The Ridge with Danny MacAkskill is a class video and I've actually met his dad, but compared to the mainland of GB that we all live on, which has been the mainstay for world wars and where basically everything takes place?  Not a chance.

Team GB all the way.

Have been to a fair few islands myself and I would have to say that so far Nationalist Arran is my favourite. Will need to try Bute, Jura and Mull though.
