What’s your favourite museum?
« on: September 16, 2020, 10:00:38 am »
For me it’s the Metropolitan Museum in Manhattan. Next time I go back I will skip all the other museums and just spend a lot of time there. The much talked of Natural History Museum is a shitehole.

The Louvre is also up there but the Met is better.

I preferred the old Aberdeen museum untill they upgraded it costing vast fortunes .

Old museums are best left in historic buildings. I won't be going back I had many memories going into the old place .

I love Glasgow's Riverside museum.

Lochgoin Covenanters Museum is good, not far from you Peter.  Seems it's been improved since the last time I went.

There are some good Orange museums.  The Museum of Orange is highly informative, Sloans House is where the first meeting took place and Dan Winters cottage is where the men decided to form the Orange Order, after the Battle of the Diamond.

I don’t really like the Riverside. Have never been able to take to it for some reason. Much preferred the old transport museum.
