I thought the righties loved capitalism and the free market. I can’t keep up! 😀

For me, capitalism and the free market don't always fit hand in glove and there are many complexities in both with which I agree and disagree.

Doesn't change the fact that Thomson's line of work fits in into the SNP's supposed values like an adult elephant walking into one of those fairy doors you see at the bottom of trees.

The SNP is a broad church, full of righties and lefties. There are socialists and tartan Tories and everything in between. It’s held together by the common goal of independence and will spilt certainly in an independent Scotland.

Your point is a good one though, and is exactly my assessment of the SNP. too  I have friends who try to pretend it has fixed values out-with independence, however I keep reminding them that like the chameleon, the SNP's colours change depending on the landscape it wishes to blend into.

I just wish many Nats would be more honest about the situation like you are.

I would definitely agree with that, but all parties change their policies and evolve to remain relevant where they can and seek to win.

They help the poor by making sure they can stay in council houses forever ahk.By not letting them buy them after years of living in them..
