The English seem very taken with her, they seem to like her intergrity, sincerity and the overall personal touch she has. That’s probably why she’s polling at 60% up here, the wee tyrant.
We’re lucky to have her.
I really don't see her as having a personal touch. From speaking to someone who used to work in statistics from the Scottish
Government Executive, she's not a nice person.
She comes across amazingly well in front of the cameras and knows exactly what to say, exactly how to play things to look good compared to her opposition, and exactly how to cultivate and firm up her support base. Of course some English will like her when they see her speak, but the majority will still think she's a divisive tool who is trying to break up the Nation. No doubt about it though, she's a very clever, media savvy, shrewd woman.
Given the nature of Nationalism (in any country), it's clear that any leaders for or against it will be marmite figures. This is true for Sturgeon, and you'll probably find that there are more who blindly agree with her and follow her than there are those who attack her.
I personally know several people who simply won't criticise her or the SNP, no matter what, even if it shows a glaringly obvious inconsistency with their argument.
When you see people fawn over her the way some do, it's no wonder many liken the SNP to a Cult.
