It's tough out there this virus is serious stuff .
My wife's nursing friend got mild Covid and now is struggling to breathe .

We can keep everything open let it run wild kill many people and leave people with ongoing problems after getting Covid I think it's getting the ballance right .

It's either closing schools or closing pubs temporary.
Scientific evidence has proven that bars are a problem when it comes to Covid .

I'm sure the scientists on here may disagree.

It's now all about keeping control .

What would you guys do ?
And what would the consequences be.?

Or we could shield the vulnerable and elderly until a vaccine is found, make masks, track and trace, social distancing and hand sanitising compulsory in all premises and let us get on with our f*****g lives.

AJ has his doctorate in Armchair Virology from the University of Youtube.

If only Nicola Sturgeon would call on him , we could sort the whole thing just like that.

I don't have concrete views on how to deal with COVID 19, but it does seem that we are in danger of the solution becoming worse than the actual problem.

The Nation racking up debt, people losing their jobs and going onto benefits, businesses closing down, people not having a proper escape from toxic households (depending on the restrictions), people not being able to socialise, loneliness are all huge problems that are arising from this.

My widowed mum lives alone in a flat about 75 miles from me, we're in the process of getting her moved up here but the Virus is holding everything up.  She suffered two brain haemorrhages back in the day and has basically been mentally ill, with terrible balance and clinical depression my whole life.  On top of that, she decided to do a Klinsmann in the local park and break both her wrists not so long ago, so they have never been right since.  Her charity-run social gatherings have been cancelled and she no longer sees friends.

She is actually coping OK considering, but there must be people like her up and down the Nation but don't have relations to keep in touch with them, who's only outlet may be these sort of things and may be in their homes alone, as well as people who've recently entered the depths of depression due to job losses.  I don't think we can underestimate how important it is to return to normality.

What's the answer?  I honestly don't know.  I did hear the owner of the Crieff Hydro saying that not one of his guests had been identified as positive from his establishment via the track and trace system, yet hundreds of his guests cancelled their bookings because of recent restrictions.  That doesn't seem right to me.  He thinks we should just test like crazy and identify those with the virus, who then get it dealt with or self isolate.  It's hard to disagree.
