I told mr danny it was a poor decision to ban the 3 guys and suggested he reinstated you all for the good of the board. I preferred everyone on the one board instead of two.

Not exactly strong condemnation. Call it out for what it is - a junkie ned abusing the only power he has by banning people for nothing.

It’s one pattern I’ve seen over and over throughout the years with messageboards. Certain people become administrators and it is rarely long before they abuse that “power” they have created for themselves or positioned themselves in. It is an interesting aspect of human nature I think.

On the old Celtic boards there was one who crawled and creeped and climbed his way into a position of control, stabbing people in the back and offering people all sorts in order to do so. Then he set out with his own agenda. When the users challenged him he was incandescent with rage and posted peoples’ personal details, threatened to kick their heads in, grassed people to their employers and banned lots of people for voicing their opinions. He ended up in an early grave sadly and I’m not certain that it was all connected but there was a clear unravelling of his mental health on the forums.

I honestly think that if someone is a grown adult and they abuse their power because they can’t handle someone’s personality or someone disagreeing with them, then they are a truly sad **** indeed. I will never understand that fragility.

I certainly did not miss that board. Missed a few posters but on the whole I didn't. Thank **** I left it.

My approach to these things has always been similar to yours AJ. When I see people abusing their power my reaction is to call them out. Even if I don’t like the person in the receiving end I would always be minded to stick up for them when they are treated unfairly and to unequivocally challenge and condemn the unfair treatment and cowardice of those misusing what they see as power.

All posters must do as they see fit. And there’s more than one way to skin a cat.

The best revenge one can ever have on anyone is to succeed away from them and to live well.
