I've only ever visited a handful of distilleries in my time, but I've started to take an interest in different types of whisky.

The different variables leading to all sorts of types are almost endless.

What's everybody's favourite dram and why?  Also, what distilleries have you visited?

I'm not a fan but my old man loves it. Buy him a bottle every birthday and christmas.
I have been to a few distilleries over the years when I did my old job.
A guy in my local collects whisky as an investment. He has thousands if pounds worth and it is going up in value all the time. Jusf before the lockdown started 4 of us were in discussions with him about giving him a set amount of money each month and he would invest it in whisky for us. It has not happened yet.

Whisky isn't for me too strong of a taste .

But I know it makes the UK billions every year .

I think there's now a couple of whisky places over the border not sure how well they do though.
