On this day in 1973: J.R.R. Tolkien died at the age of 81. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings is the best selling book of the 20th Century, and his influence and legacy lives on in us all.

Heard of him but not much else . Just shows you what I know as i thought it was J K Rowing.
