The Red Line for the new board on Proboards
« on: December 24, 2020, 11:46:51 am »
Can we agree it should be on creepy behaviour? Anything incidents hinting at doxing, employers, etc to be commonly understood as beyond the pale?

And should we elect our admins and be able to remove them with votes of no confidence?

Agree with that. I would suggest yourself and hardliner were the 2 admins going forward

Agreed. I’d be happy to offer my services if they’re required.

Good shout. I actually wanted to do that from day 1 but held off as I thought it might look like cronyism. But I think they trust him now so it could bring balance to the force and peace to the galaxy. But not too much peace.

Let’s all keep developing the model.

Agree on the first part.

However as for admin I'd say it should be you and you alone. All this motions and polls stuff is nonsense and has to go. You can say what you want about me, and indeed you have over the years, but I'd put my faith in you to moderate now we are clearer on what's acceptable. I appreciate you can't be on 24/7 but retrospective action is fine. My previous points regarding the poisonous Dundee Ghost still stand. Thank you.

I think you would be a thoroughly ethical and level headed admin.

At one point I was going to make all regular users admins, thinking it would create a sense of shared responsibility. Like when someone hit 1000 posts they would get elevated to Admin and we would have a wee ceremony for them.

But then the creepy stuff started and admins can see email addresses and IPs and the like so didn’t think that would fly.

To be honest I wouldn't have done it if I'd known it would have made you this disaffected and an incel into the bargain.

I blame myself :(

Mr pantyliner would be a poor choice as admin imo mr grant. He's too easily influenced by mr angry and seems a bit scared to do anything that might upset him. Just my two bob's worth.

Do you think it should be a robust character, like Femmesley for example, Mrs Timbo?
