Poll out today on whether their should be an Indyref...
« on: November 09, 2020, 10:51:03 am »
If SNP win majority next May.

Only 27% are opposed to a referendum in those circumstances, and even then on 17% say they are “strongly opposed”.

Sounds about right.

So when are we going to be independent then? 🤔

It is not happening 😀🇬🇧

The Nats should have thought about this possibility before they promised the last referendum repeatedly to the public and also through the Edinburgh agreement.

Spoofy opinion polling doesn't override law, parliamentary process and promises.

I wonder whether Curtice has been reading my posts?  Seems it's not just me that thinks the current build-on-the-sand lead in the opinion polls is emotionally driver, down to the pandemic handling and there not having been a debate around the fundamental issues.

Curtice says lots of things. It’s best when they are not distilled through the prism of the Daily Express.

Let’s hope all parties campaign on what the Scottish parliament has powers to affect.
Health and education being top of the agenda.
Anything outwith their remit they campaign on makes a mockery of the parliament.

Just listening to John Curtice speak on the podcast below.  What he says is really encouraging for Unionists and echoes a lot of what I've been saying about these spoofy polls for a while.  It's a real white pill.

Chapter 2 Heads of Agreement: Introduction.

Number 18 :
It is agreed that nothing in this report prevents Scotland becoming an independent country in the future should the people of Scotland so choose.

These pollsters must be on a right wedge. There are polls every two days or so it seems.
Im presuming the pollsters are Scottish people?Perhaps if they got a proper job it would be a better idea.
Is that why Nippy wants immigration? So the English and other sets of people can do the work whilst the born and bred go polling every 48 hours?
Indy wont happen anytime soon IMO
