Peter....an apology
« on: November 25, 2020, 06:28:26 pm »
I wasn't around on here when all the furore about names erupted, but having read all relevant threads it's plain to see that board head honcho Peter has made a massive error of judgement and is incapable of competent leadership

To resolve this he should issue an unequivocal apology to AJ while at the same time acknowledging that Coyne should also have been banned. It's that simple; act with humility and everyone can move on. Peter knows he has made a serious mistake and mere olive branches are not enough. This requires the olive tree.

Why is everyone having to apologise apart from the person who caused it all 🤣

I'm sorry if my tone was a bit off there 🙁

Snowflake, woke, victim mentality.

The righties are renowned for it.

That and being made of 100% British stiff upper lip.

The awol ones, Mr imtheboy has drawn the short straw of being group spokesman it seems.

It’s all very exiting, I’m looking forward to Pete’s counter proposal.

I have acknowledged my two errors on Friday. Something which I have never seen you, AJ or any of the righties do.

If that’s not acceptable to you or those involved I’ll just have to live with that.

I am more than happy to discuss it in detail however, with those involved, should they demonstrate the strong stuff they are made of and show their faces.

I’m not the one hiding away.

Aye, your board is really thriving and diverse right now eh? Can't be far off the magical 1000 post a day high watermark 😂

And, pray tell, what do I need to apologise for?

It was a general point. I have never seen you acknowledge an error, and as a multiple Roaster Champion you can’t tell me you’ve never made a mistake.

From an army man too, if anyone was made of strong stuff it should be him.

For me it's not a case of victimhood, hiding, manipulation (AJ actually wants us just to continue posting!) or anything else other than the pursuit of fairness.

As I said before, I believe one case was treated differently to the other and that the results of a poll were actually ignored.  Mistakes can happen though, but I've never seen it directly acknowledged other than with vague language.  An acknowledgement that this was wrong would do it for me, although I suppose other factors would also come into play and I can't speak for the rest.  I know you're saying you've acknowledged two errors Peter, so maybe I've missed this?  Admittedly, I've not been reading everything.

Despite what you may all think, there's no leader and no pact do all do the same thing.. us righties are all fairly laid back about the situation.  With us being made of strong stuff, we are rolling with the punches so to speak.

Put yourself in my shoes if you were part of a stable (wrestling-speak) and you felt one of your members had been eliminated under rules which didn't apply to the others.. would it be fine to just continue posting as if nothing had happened?  That's how I feel the now.

A discussion could take place as you suggest.. maybe on neutral territory.. a bit of wasteground no longer used by anyone..
