Misheard lyrics
« on: August 29, 2020, 07:16:38 pm »
I was listening to American Pie today in the car, the full version and I heard something correctly for the first time. “Do you recall what was revealed, the day The Music died” I had always until now heard “Do you recall the poisoned veal...” 😮

I thought it was about Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper dying in that plane crash.

Reverend Blue Jeans

I used to think the exact same.

Always had an image of a Church Minister dressing casually in Jeans, preaching from the pulpit to the dismay of the parishioners.

There was a Robbie Williams song where I always thought the lyric was 'Casper but without the make up' but it was 'a kiss but without the makeup' I think.

Yes it's about a number of things .

Like I said a generation lost in space is a reference to drug taking .
