If it has to go into lockdown to get it then I’d imagine we will. What happened to following the science. Is it now money the driving factor for her?I guess you could look at it that way if you were so inclined. Keeping folk in jobs for as long as possible would be another. I’m sure you’ll think it’s the wrong idea whatever she does so there’s nae really much point discussing it with you.Reasoned argument not your forte.I just don’t see the point in debating it with you, you’ll slate whichever decision is made, if she refuses and carries on as we are and businesses close you’ll be the first to say she’s responsible for those people losing their jobs and if she locks down to get the furlough you’ll be saying she’s locked down unnecessarily for the sake of money. That’s the two choices she will probably face, I doubt either outcome will meet your approval. We either need to lockdown or we don’t.The driving factor should be the science not whether furlough money will continue.Any sane person would agree.Don’t see why you’re getting upset. Yep. Boris should tell her to bolt as WM has given her enough money. You want to be independent, prove it you boot.I thought people’s jobs were the most important thing to you? You certainly spent long enough moaning about how many would be lost by closing the pubs, at least with a full lock down people’s jobs are safe for another month? Eh? They are. I would open up everything. Protect and shield the people at high risk but let the rest of us get on with our lives. But that’s not an option realistically, no political leader will do that for fear of the fallout. The two options now are carry on as we are and possibly have pubs and other businesses closing or lockdown and guarantee jobs for another 4 weeks, granted it’s not a long time but it’s something. I’m sure along with vor you’ll **** about either though.Despite not being in lockdown, the furlough money is available to the devolved nations regardless. Boris made that clear at the weekend.Wee Nippy wants the power to decide how long it lasts in Scotland including committing the Uk taxpayer to furlough expenditure which is not within the remit of the Scottish executive.

If that’s the case then fine, no need to lockdown.
Pretty clear the furlough money would not have been available if England hadn’t locked down. What a shambles. You now have a very hacked off Wales and NI. It’s only a matter of time before the UK breaks up, like the Soviet Union.
