The Union that doesn’t want you
« on: October 04, 2020, 07:37:52 am »
Scottish Tory “leader” Douglas Ross has hit out as his parliamentary colleagues in England over the fact that they do not give a **** whether Scotland becomes independent or not.

It’s a reflection of attitudes in England. They are not bothered. Good.

Imagine flailing to stay in a union in which you are not even valued. 😬 🙈😆

Well said Douglas!

There are a few pompous and arrogant Englishmen out there who try to be edgy by saying this sort of thing, but thankfully they are the minority.  One of Hardliner's old bosses tried it once, the Yorkshireman having no idea what he'd let himself in for by running his mouth to the young loyalist.

Hardliner told the boss that parallels could be drawn between him and Scotland, with him drawing a huge salary whilst not putting as much in as the other employees to justify it.

Needless to say he saw the funny side and we had a great relationship thereon, with Hardliner leaving him in no doubt about the British identity he holds dear and is as much a part of him as it is for any Englishman.

😆

I would honestly say it’s the mainstream view in England.

Tories and right wingers not bothered, with lefty types largely blithely in favour.

You’re not Sir Walter are you? There’s a definite air of the ‘towel on the balcony’ story there. 😃
