AJ puts up with a helluva lot of nonsense on here from the person in question, as well as double standards from other posters who only show outrage when it's the one way.

I know several details about AJ solely because people are on here spewing them regularly.  Whether they were previously in the public domain or not still doesn't make that right to do IMO.

If AJ has indeed posted personal info, and I can see he denies this, then I'd like to see him given a bit of leeway given the wider context of the situation.
So are we allowed to bring up stuff from other boards over the years? That should be fun

Perhaps if AJ admits it and apologises then we could stop short of having a vote. Seems fair to me, wouldn't you agree?

I think some of your posts defending your pals on here reeks of double standards Hardliner so perhaps look a wee bit closer to home on that one :)

All I'm saying, MOA, is that I'm looking at the bigger picture here.  You guys go daft at him for allegedly doing stuff that isn't as bad as what was done to him, which also never seems to be mentioned.  There is no outrage.

There's a high horse mentality within your group.

If AJ was to apologise then I agree that'd be fine, however only if he is actually guilty?  Also, I think it'd be better for it to be accompanied by an all encompassing apology from Coyne for his recent actions as well as worse actions on a previous board.  This could stop situations like this from ever arising again IMO.
I don't see any reason why you wouldn't trust what I say to you on a level. That is up to you

AJ did post his name, AJ did hint on a thread he knew personal info. Other posters have hinted about it so they know. Perhaps you do also. This is Peter's board who so far has done really well. How about give the man some respect and stop all this denial stuff, AJ can just admit it then we can move on and not mention it again?

I actually do trust what you say, MOA, and I seeing the toing and froing between us as banter.  It's not as black and white as that though, and I've no reason to distrust AJ either.  I think things can also be taken the wrong way, misconstrued, or spun a certain way to suit an agenda.

I also think that things can be done as a reaction, and that we should take this into account even if a 'crime' was committed.

Your implied accusation of me not giving Peter respect is like a dagger to the heart.
Ok hardliner I know you are good friends with Peter and respect him but just saying the denial of it has run it's course I think. I mentioned yesterday that posts had been made by AJ hinting at personal info and looking back from other posters as well so looks to have been shared already. Later that night a post is made with Coyne's name in it. Seems coincidence eh?

I'd rather not go down the route of the early days of Danny's board or the mad board where people can't have a barney without actively finding out info to use against posters. New board, fresh start ethical etc but if posters just want to reference previous boards to justify their actions then really it will be doomed imo

Remember that MoA knows Brenty personally and won't say a word against him. For that reason his opinions mean less than nothing.
Which is lucky as I was able to call you out early about you hinting about finding private info about, Coyne

The early days? There was threats made this year and your pal Coyne lapped them up and found them funny, until Danny shat on him.😁

I admire the general spirit of your post mate.  It's hard for me to comment when I don't know what was posted tbh, but I just think that the wider context matters and that Coyne's role in what may or may not have been done should be acknowledged.

I think you'd prove yourself as a highly ethical man if you took a voluntary ban on the chin to go alongside AJ's.

That would be the right thing to do at this point.

I hope you agree that going out your way to find out info of a poster is out of order. I can't speak for anyone but myself but I don't use peoples personal info against them whether I know it and certainly wouldn't search for it. If we continue to reference old boards then this will just end up like them.

I did say "I thought you were thin" when you posted a photo of yourself in jest but I wasn't meaning you were fat. As a broad shouldered man myself I hope you took it as it was :)

I've possibly got quite a bit to lose on here if posters decided they felt the need to use it as some on here know quite a lot about me including my current employers although that may be changing very soon. I 'd rather we all and I mean everyone kept the banter to the kind of stuff you would slag your mates off about in a pub. Slagging and mocking certain stuff is totally fine and to be honest I really don't get offended by anything really, and can take a fair powering. Being a Dundee fan I have thick skin

This is a hand across the rightie leftie divide so if I speak to my people and you speak to yours we can hopefully work out a more respectful ethical board going forward and once the toys are back in the parm  :D

I don't know if anyone went out their way to get info or not and don't know what was posted, so it's hard for me to comment in that regard.

I think we can reference old boards in terms of talking about outrage and morality though.  Past actions undoubtedly sway current actions.

I have no beef (excuse the pun!) with your comments regarding my Gazza photo and found them to be quite funny if truth be told!

Completely agree re:pub banter.

I also lean over and extend my hand over the divide.  I think my people (indigenous whites ;) ) will automatically play things ethically if respect is shown to them.  They are rounded on by the masses regularly.  Check comments from Mr Timbo and Ellon who have been spewing without knowing the full facts just to get at them.  The dynamic has been like this since I joined up here, and I get the impression it was even worse on the old board.

I admire 'my people' for sticking up for themselves in the face of constant adversity.  They are made of strong stuff.

Unfortunately the rounding goes on all over the board. Buc and Mr Rambo are often left to defend for themselves if nobody is on. That can't be denied. That has all come from AJ falling out with Mr Rambo over nothing on the previous board and it has spilled over here. That can't be a good thing if we want the board to prosper. I agree with a lot of your post as well though so no need to drag this out any further than needed
