I think there are obvious parallels between Lyle Lanley and Sturgeon, both are good at PR and presentation and cultivate a devoted support base by leading them on and slagging their neighbours.  The only difference is that Lanley doesn't pretend he's going to keep lots of refugees in his hoose.
