Anyone been?

I went a while back and wasn't very impressed.  It was a lot smaller than I imagined and the gift shop/cafe was extortionate.

I've got a lot of time for Dundee as a City though.  Lived there for around 6 months in 2 different addresses.

Thinking of getting the train up with a mate in the next couple of months for a meal and a few pints.  Anyone recommend any nice restaurants?  Italian or Spanish tapas would be the preference.  Also, any boozers that show the football and have a decent atmosphere?

10.30am meeting cancelled so here goes....

Tapas - Sol Y Sombra in Broughty Ferry, you will need to book or Gallery 48 in town next s good.

Italian - Piccolo or Bellini

Others to consider...

Rancho Pancho, outstanding Mexican
Gidi Grill - African and Caribbean
Porters - usual fare but really good

Boozers - I’m not in town that often but Braes and Kilted Kangaroo up Perth Road.

Trades is ok.

I like St Andrews Brewing, King Of Islington and Secret Bar.

Thanks for the information Coynster!

A wee autumn trip to the Ferry might be what we are after actually.  So Sol Y Sombra could very well be the place.
I don't want to **** on your chips but we could be in full lockdown in the autumn. Hopefully not of course.
