Anyone been?

I went a while back and wasn't very impressed.  It was a lot smaller than I imagined and the gift shop/cafe was extortionate.

I've got a lot of time for Dundee as a City though.  Lived there for around 6 months in 2 different addresses.

Thinking of getting the train up with a mate in the next couple of months for a meal and a few pints.  Anyone recommend any nice restaurants?  Italian or Spanish tapas would be the preference.  Also, any boozers that show the football and have a decent atmosphere?
Never been mate but the folks have and were not impressed.
Love Dundee as a city and it's even better now with all the changes to the waterfront. It is a great day out.
For an Italian I like Bellinis in Commercial street. Been there a few times and not had a bad meal.
As for pubs I like the Trades bar and Tickety Boos. Don't know what they will be like just now with all the new rules
