He
Surprised to see the Yoons not congratulating Dundalk.
Im obviously a yoon (whatever that is ) in your eyes so please tell me why should I congratulate a team from the ROI ?

Those who understand require no explanation. Those who require an explanation can never understand.
Would you congratulate a team from England ?

I think it’s more to do with the size of the club than where they’re from, if Yeovil or Barry town for example qualified I’m sure plenty of folk would be impressed with that effort and would offer their congratulations.

Do you think that because I support independence I hate everything about England?
What a strange question 🤔

I only ask because you questioned another ‘nat’ on whether they would congratulate a team from England. Not everyone thinks jn such binary terms.
Well Peter obviously does

But you don’t know that, is Leicester or a similar team from the epl qualifying for the europa league group stages worthy of congratulations given their spending power? Like I said, I think the size of the club and it’s resources is probably the reason for the recognition.
So why did he post what he did then ?

I don’t know, you’d have to ask him, maybe he just wanted a bite.

He might well do, I’ve known Pete for a few years on these boards and he’s never struck me as a man to be as petty as that though. Only he will know though I suppose.

For me i love to see small clubs from smaller countries do well in Europe no matter the religion associated with them or what country they are from I find it very refreshing.

European football is much the same every season some huge club versus some other huge club rather boring same old same old .
Nice to see we teams with small budgets earn some big money .
