The most intense game I ever attended was the game of hate in 1999. The atmosphere was utter poison because it was a Sunday tea time kick off the night before a bank holiday and so many people in the stadium were absolutely smashed.

The Mahe red card, the coin at Dallas and it just exploded. Even though we got pumped 3-0 (I think) I enjoyed it. A guy near me fell off the top tier and was stretched away, and cars were being smashed outside the ground. Think McNamara hooked Hateley square in the jaw.

One thing the scenes resulted in was that Dallas got away with him refereeing performance, which was diabolical.

I watched that on the telly!  Couldn't get a ticket.

My most intense game was Aberdeen at Pittodrie in 2002.  Winters hit by a coin, several fans from the Richard Donald end and the Rangers section split open, guys running on the park, Rangers fan slashed with a seat.. on the park, players taken off for a bit.  Utterly poisonous, but probably the most exciting game I'd ever been to, especially when a young BMG was in the front row and it was a Rangers win!

It was obviously brutal for those who were injured, but I'll still look back on it with fond memories of the drama.  I believe it was a 6:05PM Sunday kick offs, which were a new thing at the time.

The siege mentality when going up to Pittodrie always made it a brilliant trip.
