I know Aberdeen fans have rivalry against Rangers .
But my rivalry finishes when the game ends . Not much time for shouting abusive behaviour against any club .
But they are in a minority with most club football fans .
I've got mixed feelings about that sort of thing, Buc.
You can't beat a truly poisonous atmosphere at a game IMO, it really gets the blood pumping. Although as I've gotten older, I feel less of an urge to shout abuse at players or other fans, but there's still something special about a chant sweeping round a large group of people.. even if it's abusive. There should always be limits to abuse though IMO, I'd stop short at something that I know would really hurt or depress someone. As much as it can be fun, we must remember that players and opposition fans are human beings.
However, I just can't understand those who actually hate other people in 'real life' because they support a different team. It makes no sense to me.
