Board unity

With the Scotland game looming, there has been chat of unity on this message board as well as over the country.

Please see below for a video I came across this morning.  Lots of clubs are involved and it's great to see even Celtic in there.

There's a nice personal touch too, with the fallen players of clubs' names being displayed.

I know some of us have a laugh about the overuse of the poppy, it being used in a tacky way etc, but we really can't underestimate the sacrifice the men who died in the world wars made.  Try to imagine being in that situation yourself, I find it hard to.

Each and every single one of us owe these people a debt of gratitude

I'm glad Coyne's going to be united.

We will all be united tomorrow as we remember our fallen.  I have a schedule of posts prepared.

Good stuff, it will be nice to see the poignant content.

I don’t tend to take part in scheduled remembrancing myself, just really because I have never so far forgotten that the world wars occurred, but I am glad that it works for many.

I personally think there should be an annual festival or thanksgiving to Russia and the United States who combined to save the world from the Axis of Evil, at incredible sacrifice.

Russia in particular lost 27m as the Red Army fought to save the world.

I suppose I view it a bit like a Jew probably sees holocaust memorial day.  The wars were huge events which killed people from villages, towns and cities all across the nation and we are their descendents.

I'd love to see Russia and the USA adopt the poppy too!

We owe the Russians and Americans a massive debt of gratitude. We should commemorate their fallen as much as our own.

The Russians and Americans are more than welcome to join in in my eyes.  We don't own the copyright for remembrance.
