I’m amazed it took the bbc this long to be honest.
Does the lyrics offend you?
Not at all, that’s not what I was getting at, just that the bbc has been very ott with things like this for years I’m surprised they didn’t do it sooner.

Too many folk complaining about stuff that really has no impact on their life
A song with a word that was acceptable back then. Who cares, shall we ban words out of films as well. I understand certain censorship on radio in terms of words but banning songs is ridiculous
Same with folk complaining about the black family on the Sainsbury advert. Again who cares, it has no impact on your life. All this lazy leftie rightie nonsense is just lazy pigeon holing. People are easily offended idiots in all walks of life

The strength of political correctness ensures we must watch every word we say these days.
Think about how other harmless terms have been demonised to the extent you can get into serious trouble for saying them.
In about 20 years we won't just be complaining that this word isn't a song, but people will get the jail for daring to utter it.
