Wonderful news. A decent posting forum at last. Looking forward to it. All the best to you and yours 👍👍
-
With the reset I will be reassuming my full rights and will be able to forward motions like any other poster.
Anyone who betrays the community shall face its full wrath, I’m sure.
-
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You have nothing to fear but fear itself ya tim rhat.

Yes, Proboards for me. A much more robust and external method of policing the boards 👍
If this is you threatening in advance to grass to proboards whenever you see something you don’t like, I’m sure I speak for the whole community when I say you won’t be welcome, and we will put that to a vote if need be.
Cheers. 😎

I think the account deleters here have inadvertently caused the poll attached to this thread to disappear.
So I’m adding a new one just to make sure.
Should we move to Proboards?
If the vote is carried I will aim to set us up on Boxing Day.
-
I will go with the flow 🙂

You can transfer over everyone's post count to proboards for a bit of continuity
Ohhh
Any advice about Proboards you want from the 4 times Admin of the year then just let me know and i'll ask someone else.

There seems to be a broad consensus regarding a move to Proboards.
Let’s put it to the vote in short order.
If that is indeed the outcome then great, however can I suggest some timelines?
This place was set up in a knee jerk rush and as we can all see isn’t perfect. So I would aim to make it happen ahead of Awards season and if that didn’t land then immediately after awards season.
Nothing can get in the way of Awards season; I think we would agree on that.
With a bit of lead in time we can configure something new that will have the best possible user experience and have all modern bells and whistles. And I need to unravel the domain name and bring it across.
The ethos, “rules” and democratic structure would remain the same unless there is any vote to change any of that. It’s important that we be free of tyranny and all posters have freedom in equal measure in these days of censorship.
That all sounds good to me, Pete.
Proboards for me.
Great to hear the rules are remaining the same.
-
I vote to stay.
I don’t use any of the daft wee likes or notifications
-
I vote for a move to Proboards. Not really fussed if it's before or after awards season.

What are the benefits of proboards compared to this?
Far easier to navigate and a lot more user friendly.
In that case I'll take your lead and call for proboards too Brother AJ.
-
I'll go with the opposite of Hardliner 😀
Seriously though Proboards would be my choice

Quite a few guests looking in. I’d hazard a guess that our development and expansion plans are causing some disquiet in the Little Kingdom.
-
I'll go with whatever providing the numbers are in my favour
-
I’ve got used to using here on mobile, but Proboards was better.
-
I'm not really bothered if its this board or a different layout tbh.
What will it take to buy your vote, Mr Rambo?

This community is a success. Everyone plays the game and knows the score, which is to the credit of all.
But successful organisations must always be thinking and looking to the future, to grow, to develop, to stay relevant to modern times.
This thread can serve as our steering group to discuss and develop a business case for organisational change. Once key themes are agreed they can be voted upon.
To kick us off:
Should we stay here, in the Creataforum ecosystem?
Should we go to Proboards?
Should we find something better, cutting edge such as up to date vBulletin?
What steps can be taken to ensure nobody can ever come along and turn us off or shut us down? There will always be grasses after all.
And finally, is it ever going to be possible to unite the boards and bring peace to the realm?
Considered thoughts on all matters please.
So much business-speak! Next we'll be having team meetings over Zoom! ;D
Here are my thoughts:
Should we stay here, in the Creataforum ecosystem? I'm quite happy with this, but not adverse to change. Ideally, we'd be on a board which had a few more options such as an online calendar we can update with fixtures and key dates.
Should we go to Proboards? As above.
Should we find something better, cutting edge such as up to date vBulletin? As above
What steps can be taken to ensure nobody can ever come along and turn us off or shut us down? There will always be grasses after all. After ErchieBairdsBar's recent complaint, grassing is indeed a concern. Making it a private forum could be an option, but only once we have more posters IMO.
And finally, is it ever going to be possible to unite the boards and bring peace to the realm? I think it could be. Maybe this year's newly crowned POTY could have it as a new years resolution to start negotiations with Faniel the Spaniel? Reading between the lines, he does seem rather power hungry but we'd have nothing to lose and it would be a laugh just to see his reaction? What other boards are there anyway?
Faniel likes his wee group of pillow fluffers. He doesn't like being called out for the junkie waste of space that he is.

Thanks for taking the time to address these concerns, Pete. I am 100% behind a move to Proboards.

Personally I’d rather post on pro boards, I’d probably post more if we were on there.
I understand that might result in a few votes to remain here though.
