Do you enjoy living here in these times ?
Do you not think the country is an unhappier place since the Scottish nationalists did not accept the result of the referendum in 2014 ?
Would you move away if the unthinkable happened ?
My answers are that I am not that happy here now. It is a lot unhappier place to live since 2014. And I would be away like a shot if that happened.
So very sad what these people have done to our country 🙁
Yet you seem hell bent on creating divide and picking sides instead of just tolerating other peoples choice and getting in with your life
I have not created any divide, it is people like Buc that continues to. People like him have not accepted the result of a democratic referendum we had. Go and tell him to stop creating divides
I am a big fan of division. It’s a sign of a free and healthy society. Like bats are an indicator of a strong ecosystem.
Division is not good, especially the division in Scotland. It has ruined the country
Division is fantastic.
Division breaks up families, friends etc.
Only for complete fannies.
Spot on.
Would happen to intolerant people.
Wouldn’t happen to sensible grown ups.

A referendum will take place in spring of 2022 and independence will commence sometime in 2023.
Hopefully next year Pete.
Boris says No.
But but if Scotland votes the SNP at next year's election with the referendum in our mandate with a majority which looks like that will happen it's going to be extremely difficult for that London government to say we can't .
If they say no then that brings in plan B .
What's plan B? UDI?
I would love to see the fools try UDI
Same here, or an illegal vote Catalan style or something.
The only fair way is for them to wait at least a generation for another referendum, like they promised. Even then, it shouldn't be a guarantee.. you can't just vote on a country's status every 25 years or so, at some point you have to take a settled position or it becomes ridiculous. Talk of it should be dropped completely.
No wonder the Spanish police went in heavy when the Catalonian separatists tried to hold an illegal vote, completely breaking the rule of law and disrespecting the country as a whole.
A lot of it comes from the position that they are the virtuous ones and the 'yoons' aren't IMO.. the Catalan Nationalists were the same. They act like they speak for their region and there's no evidence to show that they do.
There's as much logic in campaigning for a separate Dalriada, Strathclyde or Northumbria.. all other ancient kingdoms which overlapped what we now called borders. A separate Scotland is not some default position that we should go for unless the economic conditions are unfavourable.. the UK is our country and has been for quite some time now and the people of England, NI and Wales are our British brothers and sisters. Every time a Nationalist goes on about how awful the UK is, they are completely disrespecting and pissing off a large amount of people who just become more firm in their stance.

You can’t put something in a manifesto that is not within your powers ...unless you want to deflect from the mess of everything else.
Yer fückin clueless.
Why not try fighting it on things that affect people’s daily lives?

My thoughts exactly on the 2014 independence referendum result.😎
And that’s the way it’s been. We stayed part of the UK and I just had to lump it. Somewhat different from what was promised though. Lead not leave. Vote no to guarantee your place on the EU.
If only you guys hadn’t reverted to type as soon as the vote was in, you wouldn’t be staring down the barrel of independence now.
When it happens, Yoons will only have themselves to blame. And it’s too late to change course.
There was never a guarantee about voting No guaranteeing membership of the EU long term, which would have been impossible because there was an EU referendum on the horizon which everybody knew about.
The promise was in the context of Separation dragging us out of the EU, which would have happened had the Yes vote won.
Whilst staring down the barrel of independence is a fitting metaphor, it isn't really the case just now. There's no chance of independence happening any time soon, and there's plenty of reasons to doubt the recent polls and to think that they'll change anyway.

Back in the 60s political views in families caused division when SNP held their conferences in village halls they weren't even discussed.
It was a torie labour and even communist thing .

I've done a few marches enough to see the force for good are way out with their figures .
Secondly I've never seen them count marches and believe me I checked that with the Glasgow march in January.
I've seen pittodrie with 15.000 fans in the stadium when fans start leaving with 10 mins to go which will leave 11000 and the disperse after 5 mins .
That Glasgow march was the biggest yet by miles.
Force for good even suggested the marches were going past the end and doubling back again to make the numbers appear much more.
After that I stopped taking their 30-50 UJ flag savers seriously.
But the lad that organises it is a very nice lad .
After the Aberdeen independence march I saw him cross the road to the train station I said to him I admire his passion and shook his hand he replied to me and said the same.
Seemed an all round good guy.
I kindly refer you to the below link which includes a video of the whole march as well as a description of the counting methodology.

I've been on plenty marches too, albeit a completely different type, and you don't get much of an idea of the scale when you're in it yourself.
Good to hear you like Alistair! He's a nice guy.
Didn't play video tho .
Aye ats his name and yes I do like him as I say just because he's a massive Yoon that doesn't make me not to like him .
I'd love to share a beer with him and I'm serious.

If the Yessers would tolerate the result of a legally binding referendum which they lost fair and square and shut the **** up for a few years there wouldn't be any divisiveness and we could get on with our lives. Just a thought.
I agree with that but I'm more on about folk like Deemo who has picked his side and his whole life is consumed by it. Day in day out showing complete intolerance, spending afternoons in the pub attacking the SNP, stopping attending Scotland games despite going for 20 yeyarsy
And Buc on the other side?
Not at all I have unionist friends and my half brother Raymond Buchan Denis Law's sisters son is a massive unionist as is my lawyer mate .
My running mate Phil of cowie carpets now retired is a massive unionist I run with him once or twice a week we've been mates for 5 decades we go for coffees and rarely speak politics.
There's more to life than politics when I'm out and about .
Unless it's one of AUOB massive 100.000 marches then we can talk about it as we wish .
Less than 9000 and they claim 100000. McConachie does a great job of keeping tabs on the numbers, recording the marches as they go past and even being generous with his counting methodology.

Was wondering how long before the proper digs at buc come out. You will be chasing him about insulting him now. You have previous 🤣
Can only be a matter of time till the abusive pm’s start.
wtf are you on about ?

Yip, the Dundhee Bhoys are definitely rattled that a bloke they don't know supports Millwall. 😂
The hate they direct toward Brother Mo is unreal! ;D
It gets even stranger when you find that it's mainly based on assumptions, like the boycott claim.
Such an odd thing to get upset about.

OK calm down PuppetMo. Just trying to get me head around it. I might mention it again but I might not. I'll see how I feel.
You have changed my name now. Imagine doing that 🤔🙈

Why does LionMo supporting Millwall get to the Dundhee Bhoys so much?
Said from the start I struggle to understand how someone can change teams. I'll continue to question it until I'm satisfied I have got my head around it
Seems to annoy you though. You mention it enough. Have you not got to post 20 times a day who you think supports Celtic or are you trying a different persona over here 😀
I haven't changed teams. Stop assuming that I have
-
Had a good reply to that but my phone crashed. Basically to keep it short. I agree with you but Deemo imo has a pathological obsession to the point he has stopped doing stuff he previously enjoyed purely because he can't tolerate other peoples views. The list is endless and all stuff he has said on here
Shame he has let it take over as he was a decent poster at the start of the old board
From what I can see Mo just gives as good as he gets. He wears his heart on his sleeve and I admire that about him.
Also, did he really stop going to Dens because he can't tolerate other peoples views? Or was it because he was rounded upon by guys sitting around him who actually couldn't tolerate Mo's views? If it was the latter, then surely it's them who have the pathological obsession and not Mo?
You've read plenty on here in his own words that backs up what I say. I know you won't admit that though
I haven't though, but I've heard him say that he stopped going for the reason I outlined. If you and Coyne had any moral fibre (no sniggering at the back!) then you'd be a bit sad that a fellow Dee was forced out by his own because of his views.
It's almost like you have a pathological obsession with him.
Plenty other stuff on here about giving up watching Scotland after 20 years, wanting to move country, changing football teams, no doubt boycotting certain places, spending his day in the pub laughing at the SNP (sounds a right hoot) you can mention Dundee but plenty other stuff in his own words
Changing football teams ? 🤔
Yes I heard somewhere that you now support Millwall now. Not sure where I heard that. Possibly just the MOA making another assumption
now support Millwall now ?
I always have so how have I changed football teams ?

I'd love to join one of his all day sessions slagging in the pub slagging the SNP!
Ask him if I has boycotted anything. I'll be surprised if he hasn't.
You seem a nice guy Hardliner but you are very dull 😕
Why not let him answer for himself when he is back on?
Did you watch the Scotland game?
So it IS another assumption then?! ;D
As for me being dull.. they don't call you a wet blanket for nothing.
No, I did not watch the Scotland game.
OK hardliner i tried
Just find you a bit boring and predictable but I'll endeavour to bring you out your shell a bit more with some common ground we might have. Who knows we might hit it off 💙
Deemo might very well be proud of the fact if he does in fact boycott stuff in relation to SNP/Indy and might not see it as a criticism. I'm sure Deemo can answer for himself though, on his own thread but if you want to speak for him you crack on pal. 😀
More assumptions. 🇬🇧

These people have not changed a thing. Independence didn't happen so any unhappiness is caused by remaining in a supposed union. If you feel England is a better place you are free to move there.
The old move to England from a sep. Why England and why should I ?
It is you seps ruining the country.

Time for my bed.
I had to read it a few times to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
-
Had a good reply to that but my phone crashed.
Was any of that because he doesn't tolerate the views of others though?
What other certain places does he 'no doubt' boycott? Please let it not be another assumption.

Coyne absolutely hates the fact that a guy he doesn't know prefers going to see Millwall rather than Dundee. 😂
Wee sacks is strange eh.
He also asked me to back up an accusation I made about him but wouldn't tell me what the accusation was ;D
😂 He gets excited and confused. ;D

Yet you seem hell bent on creating divide and picking sides instead of just tolerating other peoples choice and getting in with your life
If the Yessers would tolerate the result of a legally binding referendum which they lost fair and square and shut the **** up for a few years there wouldn't be any divisiveness and we could get on with our lives.
Sorry I'm not seeing where Buc has stopped watching Aberdeen because the city voted no or perhaps the rugby team or whatever. Buc is also a gentleman who is very passionate and probably a bit too much but still accepts people for who they are and what they believe in, even someone as ingrained as Deemo..I wonder if deemo could say the same? I doubt it
Buc said he would die for independence. ;D
As I said "too far" sometimes but we both know he doesn't have a bad word to say about anyone on a personal level regardless of their stance.
Agreed, Buc is a gentleman.
Some people try to provoke on here, but fail.

Banging on about independence is showing day in day out intolerance.

These people have not changed a thing. Independence didn't happen so any unhappiness is caused by remaining in a supposed union. If you feel England is a better place you are free to move there.
If you don’t like England why don’t you **** off to Ireland?
Oh I love the people of England my wife is a Londoner .
I have a number of English family and friends especially in the London area and even friends in Cumbria..
It's not the English it's the London government I have a problem with.

Good fun watching them buzz about like an October wasp though.

Yet you seem hell bent on creating divide and picking sides instead of just tolerating other peoples choice and getting in with your life
If the Yessers would tolerate the result of a legally binding referendum which they lost fair and square and shut the **** up for a few years there wouldn't be any divisiveness and we could get on with our lives. Just a thought.

These people have not changed a thing. Independence didn't happen so any unhappiness is caused by remaining in a supposed union. If you feel England is a better place you are free to move there.
If you don’t like England why don’t you **** off to Ireland?

I still enjoy living here but I agree that it's unhappier in general since the non-acceptance of the Nhationalists.
If the unthinkable happened then I'd consider moving to one of the sections of Scotland that refuse to be dragged out of the Union against their will. Shetland or Orkney sound nice!
I can't see Arran or East Ayrshire ever leaving either, so they could be an option!
East Ayrshire was at 47% Yes in 2014 and this then has had a nationalist clean sweep. Highly likely to be above 60% next time. North Ayrshire even will be about 55% yes in the end. 😀
Some huge, likely false assumptions there, Peter.
Has fremsley hacked your account?
These are predictions, not assumptions, however I am comfortable making assumptions also, like Good Fremsley.
