To summarise: a majority of Scots support “independence” but only if they can “keep the pound” (which they can’t) want to be in the EU (but only 5% want to be in the Euro - impossible too) and if there is no “hard-border” with England (there would have to be).

There was not going to be a referendum tomorrow, which renders the question obsolete, so everyone is answering a hypothetical. There was actually a whopping 9% of undecideds and 11% of females were undecided, and as we all know the fairer sex are more likely to support the Union than men. It was also done by phone which always under represents the shy Tory vote.
Lots of leading questions were asked before it to prime people for the 'right' answer, examples being:It's almost as if the poll was conducted by Paul McKenna!
- 'How convincing, or otherwise, do you find the following arguments in favour of Scottish independence? Scotland should be independent because the UK is leaving the European Union even though Scotland voted to Remain'
