Superb player .
Not sure about his life in management though.
-
There's a bit of arrogance about him that probably didnt endear him to his players when he was a manager but I can't fault his standards.
Unfortunately British and moreso the Scots don't like to be told that we do things the wrong way. Instead of improving ourselves we'll just dig our heals in and tell them to GTF.
That’s right. Players can’t bear to be told not to eat chips.
Thats why foreign managers rarely do well in Scotland.
We'll never improve without new ideas, lets just stick to 1960's standards and hope for the best.
Why do you guys continually talk down Scotland and it’s people?
We're our own worst enemy, we always have been.

He was nowhere near world class.
-
A brilliant player but I wouldn't say he was world class. Do not know nothing about him as a person.
-
Great player, bit of a tadger according to players that played under him at Hibernian FC.
-
I’ve never really understood this view. He had standard which were better than Scottish football standards.
-
A complete tool as a person though.

What a player he was.
So good he was at home among Petit, Scifo and Henry in the team that won the French League in 97. He was world class.
