Think being educated does make you clever but I suppose it mostly depends on the degree to grade the intelligence that you have.
But I know a few of smart plumbers who could've went to uni but preferred to do that than sit in an office all day.

There's specific companies for that sort of thing these days as they have the proper equipment to carry out the jobbie..
We've moved on from the 70s .
I've never cleared a blocked toilet since 1975 .
